Don't think, paint!

I'm enjoying myself. The scale of the painting and the chance to mess around and experiment are great fun. I'm tightfisted and conservative so it isn't easy for me to slop on the paint but it's getting easier as I get caught up in the flow. It's a bit rough only working in three hour intervals. I'd somewhat rather just go in for a day or two and eat, sleep and paint.

I'm still having issues with the acrylic. I'm accustomed to oils so I don't like how fast it dries on me. Especially the globs of paint sitting on my palette waiting for the moment that I need just a touch of raw sienna to liven up some french ultramarine blue. I also need to pay more attention to my water. It's free you know. I should change it more often but I'm lazy.

October 7 - Building up colour layers.

September 30 - Plotting out colours on the canvass.
